Educating Stakeholders + Training Advocates
The BISC Foundation monitors the constantly changing issue area and ballot measure process unique to each state.
We then train issue advocates, including c3 advocates and funders about what a ballot measure is, the process, and how they can legally engage in ballot measures throughout the full lifecycle, including implementation, legal strategies, leadership development, as well as 501 (c)(3) issue organizing strategies.
Our training also incorporates the principles and practices of our Declaration of Equity and Accountability (DoE) – a tool we developed for advocates, funders, and stakeholders to address race, power, and privilege dynamics throughout the lifecycle of an issue campaign.
